Sun Diego Charter has been a leading provider of charter bus transportation services throughout San Diego and Southern California since 1997. We operate 24 hours per day, 365 days per year out of three locations across greater San Diego and employ nearly 200 commercially licensed, professional motorcoach operators. We work extensively with the United States military, destination management and tour group companies, corporate entities, and local casinos, and provide services that are integral to the tourism and hospitality industries.

We work extensively with the United States military, destination management and tour group companies, corporate entities, and local casinos, and provide services that are integral to the tourism and hospitality industries.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Manager – Casino Operations is tasked with leading the Casino Operations while honoring our commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service. This includes all aspects of but not limited to Casino driver and dispatch operations, training, performance, and working closely with the Sales Department.

OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Manage and maintain staffing levels necessary to operate and staff all contracted routes.
? Plan, assign, and direct Casino office staff schedules, tasks, and workloads.
? Analyze the execution of service response, operational effectiveness, and business
practices and collaborate with the Director of Casino Operations to improve department
functionality.
? Confirm the daily schedule, communicate changes on individual work opportunities, and coordinate the impact of such changes to driver hours of service, availability, and
bus/labor supply and demand. Work with the maintenance team to ensure coach availability, and plan for equipment maintenance, vehicle repair, and other issues which impact vehicle inventory.
? Update the software platform to reflect the proper status of all vehicles and drivers daily.
? Respond to incidents, accidents, and injuries with remote and onsite support as needed.
? Complete post-incident/accident/injury reporting and reviews with drivers.

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION:
? Coach/counsel Operations Specialists as necessary to improve performance.
? Support an employee and values focused culture which enables success amongst all team
members.
? Respond to driver concerns and requests. Assist in coaching and counseling of drivers when necessary. Ensure respect and communication between maintenance, driver operators, and Operations Specialists.
? Train new team members within the department.
? Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
? Serve in place of the Director of Casino in his or her absence.
? Manage and conduct the business by company leadership principles.
? Ensure the department operates safely and with operational best practices in mind.

INTERACTION WITH CLIENTS:
? Investigate and respond to complaints, customer service incidents, and service failures.
? Assist in route analysis, functionality, customer special requests, and client access to service monitoring tools to ensure client satisfaction.
? Troubleshoot guest ID or player card scanning devices.
? Disseminate communication from the client regarding passenger procedures or privileges to driver operators and operations team.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
? Contribute alongside other supervisors, managers and staff to formulate goals and objectives.
? Perform duties and functions to help streamline the daily business operations of the company.
? Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing additional tasks and assignments as needed.
? Respond calmly and professionally in all interactions with team members, customers, bus patrons, and the general public.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED:
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write
simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATH ABILITY
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency are essential to the successful performance of this role. Multi-year experience using MS office suite, with an acumen for learning new programs and applications. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Class C driver’s license required. Class A or B California Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement, air brakes, and SPAB certification preferred.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:
Required:
? High school diploma or equivalent.
? Previous management experience.
? Minimum of 2 years’ experience dispatching in the transportation industry.
