Sun Diego Charter has been a leading provider of charter bus transportation services throughout San Diego and Southern California since 1997. We operate 24 hours per day, 365 days per year out of three locations across greater San Diego and employ nearly 200 commercially licensed, professional motor coach operators. We work extensively with the United States military, destination management and tour group companies, corporate entities, and local casinos, and provide services that are integral to the tourism and hospitality industries.


The Body Repair Technician performs a full range of duties related to body repair of all fleet vehicles. This position repairs the fleet vehicles after they've been damaged by using a wide array of tools to cut off old parts, connect new parts, fill holes, repair scratches, dents and dings, and make the fleet look presentable to Sun Diego Charters clients and customers.


Provides a variety of duties including but not limited to the following:

- Body Repair
- Repair, remove and replace panels, doors, windows, and all other body-related components
- Sand, mask, and prepare all surfaces for painting
- Operate welding equipment, including but not limited to: torch, mig, spot and arc welders
- Use cutting, sanding, and grinding tools
- Use a torch to cut and heat
- Repair or replace frame structures
- Prep, prime and paint entire vehicle
- Diagnose, repair and replace all door-related structures and components
- Other duties as assigned

 -Possess the basic knowledge of body repair and paint
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Present self in a clean and professional manner at all times
- Perform all related duties in a timely manner
- Wear a respirator when applicable
- Self-starter
- Meet all physical requirements set forth by the Company
- Communication clearly to all and work well with others

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimal two years body repair experience
- Technical training preferred
- Must be available to work all shifts and weekends
- Must be able to work overtime if necessary
- Must possess the basic knowledge of body repair 

Work is performed primarily in a shop environment; Chemicals (Proposition 65 Regulations) occasional field environment with some travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; incumbents may be required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.


Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a mechanic shop environment; walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, and twist; push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 60 to 135 pounds; operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
